Sculptures
The Yellow Hunter
I had some extra pieces of wood, and I needed some decorations for the garden. No, it doesn’t fly.
Resting Sweetly
This is my first piece that I did in bonded bronze. My son, Gary, and I went to New York to a sculpting studio and they cast it for me. It was first done and Roma Plastilina and then cast. It’s hard to relate the emotions that I felt when I first saw it.
Dolphins at Sea
Over 20 years ago I was in my basement trying to create a new project in clay. I closed my eyes and saw two dolphins cavorting in the ocean. I had to go to a picture of them to actually carve them
A Seated Nude
Oh my!!! This bonded bronze sculpture was done in one of my classes that a patient of mine was holding. It took me many hours of placing the details for her.
Randi’s Hand
I was sitting by the window looking at the newly fallen snow and Randi was sitting next to me. She put her hand on my wrist and said, “I just love the snow”.
The Circle of Life
Art is done with whatever tools or objects are near you: Paints, clay, plaster, or even rocks. This rock sculpture is made with different sized rocks from the planting areas in the front of the house.
Prayer for the World
I was doing a small tooth restoration on this 12 year old Cambodian child who had recently arrived in our country.
Young Lovers
Love is never old. It is for all ages, so this piece is dedicated to lovers young and old.
I’m Thinking
I was watching a TV show that had newly elected politicians. I wanted a character to resemble one of them.
