Prayer for the World

Post By: Dr. Alvin S. Berger

I was doing a small tooth restoration on this 12 year old Cambodian child who had recently arrived in our country. She spoke broken English and was trying so hard to communicate. She looked sweetly at me and said,”I hope you don’t hurt me”. “I’d never do that”, I said. I saw her beautiful hands and asked her to help me memorialize them with a casting. She was so happy that I had asked her. I named this sculpture: “Prayer for the World”.
